Akord AI Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Akord AI, a product of Conflict Dynamics International ("CDI"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use Akord AI.

2. Description of Service

Akord AI is an AI-powered assistant designed to support Sudanese peacebuilders by providing access to peacebuilding resources, political accommodation tools, and Sudanese political accords. The service includes features such as document upload, editing, summarizing, analysing, and exporting answers in various formats.

3. User Obligations

Users must:

• Use Akord AI only for lawful purposes.
• Not use the service to distribute any harmful or illegal content.
• Respect the neutrality, impartiality, and independence principles of CDI.

4. Registration

To access certain features of Akord AI, users may need to create an account. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account information and for all activities that occur under their account.

5. Privacy and Data Security

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionalities of Akord AI, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, are the intellectual property of CDI or its licensors. Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use Akord AI for personal, non-commercial purposes.

7. User Content

By uploading or submitting content to Akord AI, users retain ownership of their content. CDI will not use or claim ownership of any user-uploaded content for commercial or any other purposes. CDI will only use user-uploaded content to answer questions that the user asks of the data they upload.

8. Accuracy of Information

Akord AI strives to provide accurate and reliable information by drawing from a curated dataset of credible sources. However, CDI does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of the information provided by Akord AI.

9. Limitation of Liability

CDI shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use or inability to use Akord AI, even if CDI has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Modification of Terms

CDI reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Continued use of Akord AI after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

11. Termination

CDI reserves the right to terminate or suspend access to Akord AI for any reason, including but not limited to breach of these Terms of Use.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which CDI operates, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
